Olivia Rodrigo - SOUR (2021)

(•)> There is no doubt that teenage star Olivia Rodrigo broke the industry with a modern genuine heartbreaking concept, but some derivative ideas and one-note melodies ruin it a bit for me.

Tyler, The Creator - CALL ME IF YOU GET LOST (2021)

(•)> "Call Me If You Get Lost" is a more than worthy versatile victory lap more than deserved for Tyler.

Kanye West - Donda (2021)

(•)> Innovative minimal skeletal epic aesthetic, great complex highlights with huge performances, and outstanding gospel motifs and surreal ideas make for the biggest live event of the year!

Billie Eilish - Happier Than Ever (2021)

(•)> Billie's sophomore it's a lucid bright sincere poetic therapy session with a strong start and finish always supported by her brother's surgical forward-thinking production.

Taylor Swift - Red (Taylor's Version) (2021)

(•)> "Red" keeps working as a juvenile catchy pop album. There are highlights on the vault besides "All Too Well".

Drake - Certified Lover Boy (2021)

(•)> Don't miss this one if you are into background noise!!!

Lana Del Rey - Chemtrails Over The Country Club (2021)

(•)> Lana nails the vintage aesthetic that is going for while bringing to the table great songwriting with really impressive vocal performances.

Lana Del Rey - Blue Banisters (2021)

(•)> For some reason Lana released her second album this year. A few early highlights are quickly outshined by risks that don't pay off at all in the form of trap beats, and underwhelming deep cuts also make "Blue Banisters" forgettable as hell.

Lorde - Solar Power (2021)

(•)> Early delightful bright Summer highlights like "Solar Power" are outshined by the bland snoozefest that follows making this long-awaited album a flat flop!

Baby Keem - The Melodic Blue (2021)

(•)> I ear potential coming out of Kendrick's cousin, but for now, the creative ambitious captivating details and unique inflections are being wasted on average trap beats.

J. Cole - The Off-Season (2021)

(•)> J. Cole shines with talented cinematic lyricism, clever sampling, and some exceptional hooks, but cheap skeletal structures, incomplete structures, and some underwhelming duds lower it down.

Doja Cat - Plane Her (2021)

(•)> Despite having the sensual banger "Kiss Me More", this is mostly a forgettable horny playlist.

Clairo - Sling (2021)

(•)> Jack Antonoff shines once again delivering ornamented intimate production, but most of the time Clairo isn't the most captivating singer available on the market.

Little Simz - Sometimes I Might Be Introvert (2021)

(•)> Little Simz fuses conscious rap, orchestral rap, and neo-soul to make her version of "To Pimp A Butterfly".

Bruno Mars -An Evening With Silk Sonic (2021)

(•)> Best teeth in the game, Anderson P.aak. and popular talent, Bruno Mars join forces as Silk Sonic delivering smooth charming casual performances adopting a soulful glamorous vintage aesthetic.

Lil Nas X - MONTERO (2021)

(•)> Despite the whole thing sounding a bit too artificial and overproduced to my taste, no doubt Lil Nas X ruled the world and dominated the mainstream in 2021 with infectious bangers like "MONTERO (Call Me By Your Name)" and "INDUSTRY BABY".

Adele - 30 (2021)

(•)> At 30 years old, Adelle still has an amazing vocal range, but her approach to songwriting here is too basic.

Black Country, New Road - For The First Time (2021)

(•)> Anxious dramatic instantly charismatic performances and unpredictable fun melodies refined by quirky instrumental layers make for one of the most exciting debuts of the decade! All in all, it's tough to find flaws or even nitpicks in "For The First Time" - some, like me, would even dare to call it a masterpiece!

Twenty One Pilots - Scaled and Icy (2021)

(•)> Unfortunately vintage bland melodies, shallow radio hooks, and lots of empty gimmicks don't make a good follow-up to their best work.

Japanese Breakfast - Jubilee (2021)

(•)> Fabulous colorful ornamented luxurious production makes "Jubilee" an aesthetic delight! Alternates between captivating hooks and emotionally crushing tracks presenting legendary indie influences.

BROCKHAMPTON - ROADRUNNER: NEW LIGHT, NEW MACHINE (2021)

(•)> The "last" BROCKHAMPTON album bets on stellar boyband chemistry with catchy hooks and versatile socially aware themes making it a banger after banger blast!

C. Tangana - El Madrileño (2021)

(•)> new opigeon coming soon!!!

Vince Staples - Vince Staples (2021)

(•)> Vince Staples puts his spin on gangsta rap presenting some bangers, high-pitched elements, and a raw aesthetic.

Injury Reserve - By the Time I Get to Phoenix (2021)

(•)> "By the Time I Get to Phoenix" mourns late Injury Reserve member with groundbreaking production.
