In "Hollow" I find myself in Ollie Twohill's private dwelling, but he does everything he can to keep me from seeing him cry. Despite the propulsive beats and guitar solos, throughout "Hollow" is surrounded by a typical indie bedroom production existential mystique that I love! On the other hand, it also has a lot of the joviality easily associated with pop - punk due to catchy riffs and an absolutely explosive and cathartic chorus. Heartbreaking stuff, especially the heart of the track is certainly the hook where he begs at the top of his lungs not to be abandoned (and he really means it!).
