ARTIST INTERVIEW: NATALIE CLARK

1. Hey, super nice to have the chance to chat with you. First and foremost what got you into music?

I've always loved music generally, but when I discovered my passion for writing it, I was hooked! That's when I knew I wanted to make music and I haven't stopped since!

2. What’s your favorite 80’s artist?

Whitney Houston!

3. Do you sing in the shower? What songs?

Always! Ha! Literally anything! From what I was listening to or a new song I'm writing.

4. What’s your favorite 2010’s artist?

Beyonce! And she's still one of my all time favorites!

5. What strengths do you have that you believe make you a great musician?

I think I'm just very honest and to the point in my songwriting. Not sure if that makes me great, but I can definitely say my songs are from my heart!

6. What’s your favorite 60’s artist?

Maybe the Beatles!! Oh, or Aretha Franklin!!

7. What is it about music that makes you feel passionate?

It's hard to describe! I suppose it's just the way a song can make you feel! It can comfort you if you're feeling down, and can also uplift you, motivate you and put you in a good mood. Music is just so powerful!

8. Do you like 100 gecs?

9. What’s your favorite 90’s artist?

Alanis Morissette!

10. Do you agree with the Pigeon?

The sun sets on "Late Train" through melancholic chords that support a female performance. Later, this carriage speeds up with organic percussion from snapping fingers that encourage the vocal performances to become progressively more sensual. I love the high notes that Natalie manages to hit on this yellow and orange puente with a farewell flavor that promises to rid me of all my fears. And from all my fears I get rid with this independent and alternative production that inspires me with the strength of a sun that will return the next day.

The Pigeon added the new single to his Weekly Gems playlist on Spotify. You can check out the released music below. If you like what you hear, make sure to follow along so you can stay on top of future releases!
