After being nominated as Breakthrough Act of the Year by the music magazine GAFFA, Stockholm-based Great Park Avenue have performed relentlessly on prominent stages across Sweden, including Debaser Strand, Stadsgårdsterminalen, Marshall Stage, and Grand Malmö. They are now preparing to release two season-themed EPs inspired by hard-boiled detective novels, Las Vegas, Guinness, French surrealism, post-punk, and a vocoder.
The first EP was primarily recorded using luxurious Neumann microphones in an upscale studio, while the second was captured in their converted women’s restroom. Following the release of their most recent single LA LA LA, Great Park Avenue have firmly established themselves on the Swedish indie scene.
Since the band's debut EP In Terms of Creativity & Money, they have been praised in the music industry for their vibrant and ever-changing nature and nominated for Breakthrough of the Year in the GAFFA award. Now current with another EP for the fall inspired by hard-boiled detective stories, Las Vegas, Guinness, French surrealism, post-punk and a vocoder. There is something undeniably British about Great Park Avenues, but there is also something magnanimous about the mix of influences.
